All Hazards Mitigation Plan Project

What is an All Hazards Mitigation Plan (AHMP) ? 

A comprehensive & proactive plan to identify significant natural hazards & develop strategies to reduce or eliminate current & future risks to residents and property.

Partners in Protecting Our Communities

Communities participating in the preparation of a regional All Hazards Mitigation Plan:

• Town of Amenia

• Town of Beekman

• Town of Dover

• Town of Milan

• Village of Millerton

• Town of North East

• Town of Pawling

• Village of Pawling

• Town of Pine Plains

What is the purpose of the plan?

• Provide a detailed, factual summary of each community's vulnerability to natural disasters.
• Develop specific actions that may reduce losses from identified hazards.
• With a plan, communities are eligible to apply for FEMA project grants for flooding, pre-disaster and hazard mitigation.
